1. Production servers (primary)
2. Local NAS (automated daily)
3. Cloud backup (encrypted, offsite)

Tools

• Restic for encryption
• Backblaze for cloud
• Synology for NAS
• Automated scripts

Testing

Monthly restore drills. If you can't restore, you don't have a backup.

Cost

$200/month for 10TB.

Value

Priceless when disaster strikes.

You WILL lose data. The only question is whether you can recover it.
